Mazda 626
1978 - 1983
The first generation Mazda 626, an export
version of the second-generation Mazda Capella replaced
the Mazda 616/Capella in December 1978 in Australia. The
first generation was available in sedan and coupé
forms. The model was updated in November 1980 with the
update bringing flush-fitting headlamps, a new grille,
redesigned taillights and a revised dash. The CB 626 model
was replaced by the GC 626 in Australia in February 1983.
