Ford
Tickford Experience
1999 - 2002
Tickford Vehicle Engineering
was Ford Australia's performance partner since May 1991. They
contributed to the Falcon XR's from the EB Falcon XR8 and the
EB & EL Falcon GT's. In 1999, Tickford began selling Ford
Falcons under the FTE (Ford Tickford Experience) banner, selling
the T-Series, to battle Holden's HSV and rejuvinate the Falcon
performance image. FTE then went on to sell the Ford Cougar
and Ford Mustang Cobra. Tickford existed until it was taking
over globally by Prodrive, with FTE/Tickford effectively turned
into Ford Performance Vehicles (FPV) in Australia. Prodrive
brought back the Tickford brand in Australia in 2016, with Prodrive
selling modified Ford Rangers and Ford Mustangs.
